SUMMER CAMPS & CLASSES
STRING IMPROV LAB

This String Improv Lab is a fun and engaging experience for string students to expand their expressive and creative skills. Through guided improvisation games and chamber music, students will explore new ways of making music beyond the written page. Over the course of the workshop, they’ll develop confidence in musical decision-making and creative risk-taking. The class will culminate in a unique performance of student-led chamber music improvisations.
Student Requirements:
String students of all ages are welcome. Students should have 6 months experience or completed all Suzuki Twinkle variations & Theme.

This Summer Camp is for students ages 6-10 at the late-beginner level, ideally with basic grand-staff reading ability. The workshop will guide participants in learning simple folk melodies that can be adapted and expanded according to each student’s pianistic level. Each workshop day will focus on a cultural theme.
SUMMER FUN JUNIOR SINGING CAMP

Join us for a week of singing adventures! This introductory-level, outdoor-inspired singing camp invites beginner singers on an adventure filled with laughter, listening, creativity, and discovery, building singing confidence along the way.
Perfect for singers ages 5-7, this half-day camp provides the space for students to express themselves, build confidence, and connect with others through music with a performance on the last day of the camp!
SUMMER CHILDREN'S CONCERT SERIES
We offer free children's concerts to expose kids to different instruments and genres of music. The interactive, themed programs include listening, dancing, and making music.

Travel to new places, like France, Ireland, and Germany, and explore all the different kinds of music you find there. Join in the fun with Musikgarten-led songs.
GREENSBORO SUMMER READING TRAIL

The Music Academy is a stop on the Greensboro Summer Reading Trail!
There will be a picture book (all about music!) to read with your kids in a cozy, little nook upstairs. We'll also have a chapter book for the older kids. PLUS go on a short scavenger hunt to receive a free lesson (valued at $35), enter to win a four-pack of lessons (valued at $152), and get some cool MANC water bottle stickers.

CAROLINA KIDS CLUB
Carolina Kids Club, hosted by the Carolina Theatre, offers summer entertainment for the kids. A movie and snack for $6, plus The Music Academy Musical Petting Zoo and a Mad Science show before the film!
Our Musical Petting Zoo gives children an opportunity to try different instruments. Doors open at 9:00 a.m.; come make music with us!
